MEWS member Brad Parks, a former reporter at the Star-Ledger, will be at Watchung Booksellers Saturday 12/12 at 1pm to talk about how he turned his 10 years of reporting for The Star-Ledger into a new mystery series that Harlan Coben has called a “terrific debut.”

The first book in the series, FACES OF THE GONE, published by St. Martin’s / Minotaur this week, has been hailed by Library Journal as “the most hilariously funny and deadly serious mystery debut since Janet Evanovich’s One for the Money.”

The book’s protagonist, investigative reporter Carter Ross, lives in Nutley, grew up in Millburn, and works in Newark. He drives the Parkway, parties in Hoboken, stalks killers in Summit. He’s a hero of New Jersey, by New Jersey and for New Jersey.

Come out to Watchung Booksellers tomorrow at 1pm and say hello to Brad!
