Tell Us We’re Home is about three immigrant girls, all daughters of maids and nannies in the fictional suburb of Meadowbrook, New Jersey. When one of the mother’s is accused of theft and tensions about immigrants start to erupt, all three girls are tested, as outsiders–and as friends. Each of them must learn to find a place for themselves in a town that barely notices they exist.
