The workshop will benefit communications professionals, writers and editors looking to promote their work, entrepreneurs and leaders from both business and non-profit organizations who want to learn about the latest communication tools and practical steps for putting them to work. For maximum hands-on experience, participants are encouraged to bring a laptop and take advantage of the free, onsite Wi-Fi access.
Allison H. Fine, noted activist and author, is the keynote presenter. Fine wrote the award-winning book, Momentum: Igniting Social Change in the Connected Age. She writes the blog, A. Fine Blog, and hosts the Social Good podcast for Chronicle of Philanthropy. Her articles have been published in the Boston Globe, San Jose Mercury Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and the Huffington Post. Her new book, The Networked Nonprofit, co-authored with Beth Kanter, will be published by Wiley & Sons in 2010.
