Carolyn will discuss how Digital Storytelling  – the use of digital technologies to tell new kinds of narratives — is being used to immerse audiences in new kinds of experiences. She’ll describe how digital storytelling is being used both for entertainment and pragmatic purposes, giving cutting edge examples of how it is being harnessed in the fields of journalism, marketing, promotion and education.

Among the topics Carolyn will cover is her work on the Jasmine Club, a lush new virtual world for young girls living in the Middle East.

Carolyn is the author of Digital Storytelling, Second Edition: A Creator’s Guide to Interactive Entertainment (Focal Press, 2008).
