Some of you may know about the writing series I co-host, Writing Matters: A Dialog on the Craft & Business of Words, with events held right here at our own Watchung booksellers in Montclair.

The series has attracted attention from local media and is drawing authors from as far away as North Carolina and Hew Hampshire. It
tries to do something a little different from a typical reading or signing–open up a real-time discussion between panelists and audience members about the state of books during these changing times.

Now we are putting together a very special panel called “Brave New World: Bringing a Book into Being in 2010…and Beyond” and are looking for agents, editors, and publishers who might like to take part.

Panelists will have the opportunity to select 2 or 3 current favorite volumes from their lists for the bookstore to showcase and audience members to have personalized by the people who ushered them into being.
