Barista Kids, a local parenting website that offers news, event information, resources and discussion, is searching for an outgoing intern to serve as editorial assistant. Intern will be responsible for updating the events calendar listings online and may pitch ideas for posts for the page. Great opportunity to learn the blogging format. Must be proficient on a computer, know a little bit about CMS and be organized and detail oriented. Must be able to commit to at least 6 months of work. Required work will take 3 to 4 hours a week on your own time. Unpaid but chance to work with seasoned, longtime journalists and get a recommendation if desired.
