I had to dismantle the MEWSie Ning Group yesterday because of a large-scale spam attack.  Some of you may also have heard the news that Ning was no longer going to be free anyway, so I’d been considering taking it down.  It’s unfortunate, but we never really figured out how to put it to good use anyway.

So we’re back to getting our news via this site — you can sign up for email updates here — and you are also welcome to join the MEWS Facebook Group.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night at the Diva party.  Since my own husband asked me to repeat these details last night, here it is one more time: Diva Lounge on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, 6:30 till 9:30, $39 per person CASH at the door includes food, unlimited soft drinks, two other drinks of your choice, and the chance to commune the all your fellow mewsies.

Meanwhile, I received reports this morning of a spam attack over on the mewsie ning site.  Apparently someone named Lucy David was offering to show everyone her pictures, and we’re not talking head shots.  “Lucy” has been banned from the site and I hope will not be attempting to lure us into sin again.
